Hello Plant Parents!

It has been a long time since we’ve posted. We have been super busy for the last few months building out new features, adding content, and smoothing out bugs. We are working hard to get to additional platforms. Our iOS release is looking good and entering the final push to get it out the door. Android will follow that once we are satisfied with its stability across the many variety of devices. We have more content in the pipeline that we think you’ll love.

What’s in this update (version 240715.18)

Here are some highlights.

1. Mac - Our Mac build has been refreshed with this update. We had a report recently that a Mac user was unable to run the downloaded version. This new version is freshly signed and runs just fine on our Macs.

2. Save Slots - We’ve added 3 save slots. Many players like to start over and try out different themes in their apartments. Now you can do this without losing your existing game. Your current game will be Slot 1. Save slots and saving your progress is only available in the downloaded versions.

3. New Store, House Plus - A new store has opened on the street. House Plus specializes in furniture. You’ll find more tables, sofas, and shelving here for your apartment.

4. Expanded Shops - All of the shops are now larger to accommodate more stock. Pan left and right by moving the mouse to the edge of the store. You can also use the A and D keys on the keyboard to pan stores, streets, and apartments.

5. On street Kiosk - A new vendor has set up shop on the street. Look for their colorful summertime kiosk. They specialize in stocking fun seasonal items. They are currently carrying a nice selection of summer themed items. Look for them to change their stock as the seasons change.

6. Items, Items, Items - We’ve added more plants, furniture, artwork to the free base game. Every content update we make contains additional DLC and base-game content.

7. Storage Units - A pair of new items to call out are the storage units. There is one for plants and one for everything else. Use these to stash away items that you want to keep around, just not displayed in your apartment. If you are running a downloaded version of the game, you can also use these storage units to transfer items between apartments. You’ll need a unit in each apartment to do so. Look for the small greenhouse and yellow cabinet in the stores.

8. Magical terrariums - Another pair of new items are the terrariums. These are home to a cute mushroom and cloud (Sprinkles). Once purchased, they’ll fertilize (the mushroom) and water (the cloud) any plant in need. Look for these in the plant store.

9. Furniture Journal tab - There is a dedicated tab in the Journal for furniture and plushies.

10. Variable Placement - This gives you some wiggle room when placing items around your apartment. Instead of always snapping them to a specific location, you can now tweak and align things more to fit exactly how you’d like.

11. Bug fixes - There have been a lot of fixes over the last few months. A lot of these are around smoothing out gameplay and idiosyncrasies. There are too many to list here, but things are feeling even better these days.

There are other items that we could list, but that’s enough. Plant Therapy is really taking shape. We are very happy with where we are and the places we want to take it in the coming months.

A word about the base game

The base game for Plant Therapy is free wherever you get it (Itch, Steam, and soon to be iOS). It is also free of ads. We don’t bombard you with up-sell opportunities or micro-transactions. We want the game to be fun and relaxing, not an obnoxious marketing tool. We do offer several DLCs of content via our Steam page. If you like the base game and want even more content, consider downloading us on Steam and buying a DLCs or two.
